Savannah's Flower Girl Dress :)

A friend and soon-to-be cousin of mine is getting married, and asked Savannah & Isaac to be in the wedding. Savannah looked so cute in all the dresses she tried on, we (the bride & me) had a hard time deciding which one! The wedding is in May, so the dress is very "spring." :)

No, the bed isn't made up. sorry.

These are some hair accessories that I am thinking about. I found these on Etsy. Still looking, there are so many to choose from! The two above, especially this one in the middle, are my favorite so far.

Although this is cute too! I want a narrower band though..

Five Things

Caroline, from "In His Shade", tagged me to fill out this fun quiz! Thank you Caroline!

Instructions:

1) Answer 5 questions with 5 answers.

2) Tag five other bloggers.

Questions:

1. Where were you 10 years ago?

1- I was 15 years old.
2- Living at home with my parents, 4 sisters, and 1 brother.
3- I was on a swim team and loved it!
4- I worked, baby-sitting and cleaning houses.
5- I was home schooled, looking forward to graduating.

2. What is on your to-do list for today?

It is about time for me to go to bed, so I will post for tomorrow.

1- Work-out on the elliptical, because it is supposed to rain.
2- Occupy Savannah & Isaac in the house, while maintaining sanity for all.
3- Go over ABC's with them, writing their names (they can't write yet, but we practice), etc.
4- Bible study! I am reading my One Year Bible.
5- Do dishes and pick up before going to bed! This doesn't always happen, but I try, because I HATE waking up to a messy kitchen. That is NOT a good way for me to start the morning!

3. What 5 snacks do you enjoy?
Does coffee count?? I guess I will stick to food:
1- Cheese and crackers.
2- Cocoa roasted almonds. Or pecans or walnuts.
3- Pickles.
4- Green olives.
5- Peanut m&m's, or chocolate.

Of course I have more than 5 snacks that I enjoy! Haha!

4. Where are 5 places you have lived?

1- Covington, Louisiana. Where I was born.
2- Sparta, Mississippi. (we called it the "snake house", because a snake surprised Mama in the bathroom one time. And then another on the screen door.)
3- Eupora, Mississippi.
4- Tupelo, Mississippi.
5- Columbus, Mississippi.

5. Name 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire:

Wow! Where do I begin? I feel like Miss America! ;)

1- Give beaucoup money to missions and reputable charities.
2- Buy every cute, adorable dress for Savannah that catches my eye.
3- Buy Isaac all of the boots he could want. :)
4- Buy a thousand acres or so of rolling country, with a barn and a lake, and a cozy house with a giant porch. Or just a little cabin in the mountains with a fire place and a porch.
5- Buy whatever presents that I wanted to buy for my husband, family, friends... for Christmas and Birthday's or anytime.

And of course that is really more than 5, and I can think of a lot of other things to spend money on too! ;) But I also remember that money cannot buy happiness! I know that is such a cliche, but it is so true! I feel so completely blessed with the family that God has given me!

And now I am going to tag 5 people:

1. Jessica, at "Newly wed life"
2. Melissa, at "Woes and Whoas of Me"
3. Beka, at "Message for you on the Wayside"
4. Lydia, at "Jared and Lydia Pierce :)"
5. Aishlea, at "Aishlea and Brandon"

Isaac's Stitches

I have many pictures to post of East Tennessee, our New Year's trip, but I don't have time right now. I just wanted to give a little update on Savannah & Isaac. Mostly Isaac. Yesterday (Tuesday), we went to the pediatrician for slight fever & runny noses that they have had for too long, and came back with 4 stitches. We were waiting for the Dr., I was holding Savannah, and Isaac was playing with the Dr.'s stool (the one with the wheels, he loves anything with wheels!). Anyway, he was just pushing it around at first & trying to "belly surf". He is VERY energetic. I wasn't worried because his feet were firmly on the ground. Suddenly he decided to climb up and stand on the stool, and just as the words "No Isaac! STOP!!!" are coming out of my mouth and I am getting up to stop him, he crashes to the ground faster than I can get up. As soon as I saw the blood gushing and what looked like flesh coming out, I knew he would have to have stitches. Fortunately, my mother-in-law was with me and ran to get the nurse. First they tried to "dermabond" it together, but it wouldn't work, so we held him down while the dr stitched it up. That was a nightmare! Isaac is terrified of being "held down". He has had to be before, but not for so LONG. It was VERY VERY slow. And he screamed and thrashed. And I held him down and got a full view. Me and a nurse. The nurse said her arms were sore, and my arms feel sore today. Isaac wasn't trying to be difficult, but he was panicked. I kept trying to calm him down, and he kept screaming "Mama, Mama!" in a terrified voice, followed by wailing and screaming. AND, he also bit his tongue really hard during the fall, and it was bleeding. I felt REALLY bad for him, of course, and really GUILTY that I even let him get close to that wheely stool!! He is not playing on one of those again!!!!! Anyway, I am just glad that it wasn't worse. It could have been. Isaac is doing great today, and hasn't even complained about it hurting or anything! And it definitely hasn't made him more cautious! He is as rambunctious as ever! *sigh* I am keeping him away from things with wheels! Except all of the trucks he got for Christmas.

Christmas

Our tree.
This is at "MiMi's" house Christmas Eve. Savannah started giving people presents, so Mimi said she could be santa & put the hat on her. Savannah was proud of getting to be the one to give out presents. Really, she didn't give us an opportunity to object. :-)

Isaac loved his truck. And his BOOTS. He kept pointing at them and saying "Ma, my boots!" He has a little bit of a stutter at times. It was so cute!
This was a funny moment. This was Christmas morning at our house, and Isaac discovered his stocking was shaped like a boot. "Mama, it's ah a BOOT!" Forget the presents, this is the important stuff ;)

Savannah was still sleepy, but she managed a smile. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pics of them opening presents!!! And I didn't get any pics at my Mama's house later today! I will have to get some from my sisters. I did, however, get these pics of them on the way home. :)

Some pics of different ornaments:
Nearly every ornament has something "special" about it, so I am posting a few pics of them. My hubby gives me a new ornament every year, since he knows how much I love decorating for Christmas, and he is so thoughtful. :) This is the ornament he gave me our first Christmas. (above)

I got this one when we were first married also. I like it because it is so "folksy".
Joe made this when he was 5 yrs old.

He gave me 2 ornaments this year. This is one of them. The hand painted ones are so old-fashioned looking, which I really like!

This is the other one. I love blown glass!

This is what I did when we got home. Relaxed with eggnog latte, chocolate, and a new book.

I hope everyone had a great day! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Luke 2:10-11: But the angel said to them "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord."
